Caltrans plans major roadwork through July 26

NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around the North Coast during the coming week.

Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.

LAKE COUNTY

Highway 20

– Shoulder work near Foothill Drive will end Saturday, July 21. Lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

Highway 29

– Pavement work at Cruikshank Road will end on Friday, July 20. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. weeknights. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work near Mallow Pass Creek to occur on Tuesday, July 24, and Wednesday, July 25. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Emergency work near Soldier Point Viaduct will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect 24 hours day. Motorists should minor traffic slowdowns.

Highway 101

– Striping work from Russian River Bridge Overhead to Williford Road Undercrossing will begin Friday, July 20. Lane closures will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Striping work from Robinson Creek to Uva Drive will begin Thursday, July 26. Lane closures will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Landscaping work from Orr Creek Bridge to Hensley Creek Undercrossing will occur Monday, July 23. Lane closures will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Landscaping work at the North State Street Onramp will occur Monday, July 23. The Onramp will be closed from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Motorists should take an alternate route.

– Emergency work south of Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. Lane restrictions will be in effect in both directions. Motorist should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work near Haehl Creek Bridge to begin Tuesday, July 24. Lane closures will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Construction at Sherwood Road Intersection will end on Friday, July 20. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. weeknights. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Empire Camp Rest Area to occur on Wednesday, July 25. Lane closures will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Construction at Jitney Gulch Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Emergency work at Bell Glenn Resort to the Dora Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 128

– Emergency work from Hibbard Road to Big Oaks Drive will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 162

– Drainage work from 1 mile west of Corral Creek Bridge will end Friday, July 20. One-way traffic control will be in effect 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. Motorist should anticipate 10- minute delays.

– Wall work at The Middle Way will continue. One-way traffic control with temporary stop signs will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Drainage work at 1.5 mile west of Sand Bank Creek will end on Friday, July 20. One-way traffic control will be in effect 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. Motorist should anticipate 10- minute delays.

– Drainage work from Poonkiny to Fairbanks will end on Friday, July 20. One-way traffic control will be in effect 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorist should anticipate 10- minute delays.

– Drainage work at Short Creek Road will end on Friday, July 20. One-way traffic control will be in effect 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. Motorist should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 175

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at East Side Road to Woolridge Ranch Road to begin on Monday, July 23. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Emergency work east of the entrance to Motorcycle Park will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 222

– City of Ukiah has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Hastings Frontage Road will occur on Friday, July 20. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 253

– Pavement work from the Route 128 junction in Booneville to the Highway 101 junction will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes, unless noted otherwise above.
