Pear desserts sweeten baking competition at the Kelseyville Pear Festival

KELSEYVILLE, CA - The 26th annual Kelseyville Pear Festival welcomes entries into the Pear Dessert Contest on Friday, Sept. 28.

Bring your specialty to the Kelseyville Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The church is located on the corner of Third and Church streets.

Pears must be the featured ingredient in the recipe, whether fresh, canned or dried. More than one dessert may be entered, just use a separate entry form for each dessert.

Please use a disposable container and include a legible copy of the recipe and contact information

Contest judges Madelene Lyons, Marcie Cadora and Chris Mansell will consider taste, texture and appearance.

After judging, the desserts are donated to the Kelseyville Presbyterian Church.

Gift certificates to local eateries will be awarded and top winners will ride in the Main Street Parade.
