LAKEPORT, Calif. – It is never too early to get started on your Christmas shopping and the Lakeport Women’s Civic Club annual Holiday Craft Fair is a great place to do it.
The craft fair will take place from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 2, at Kelseyville Presbyterian Church, 5340 Third St.
More than 20 vendors will be sharing their crafts.
There will be a wide range of items from pottery, to amazing hand knit sweaters and beautiful cheese platters/cutting boards, leather goods and handmade purses in every shape and size.
You might also pick up your holiday sweet treats. Club members provide an astonishing array of baked breads, cookies, cakes, muffins, and pies that you may freeze and enjoy when the time is right or savor right away with a fresh cup of coffee from the snack bar.
At the snack bar, Cheryl Robbins always provides homemade muffins in the morning and delicious chile, hot dogs and tortellini soup in the afternoon.
The Lakeport Women’s Civic Club meets on the first Friday of every month, except July and August, at Riviera Hills Country Club Restaurant. The gathering begins at 11 a.m. and the general meeting gets under way at 11:30 a.m.
Our next meeting is on Nov. 2 and they will honor local veterans. Frank Parker from Vet Connect will be the speaker. Representatives from Veterans Honor Guard and Ginny Craven of Operation Tango Mike will be in attendance and receiving the donations that LWCC provides to these outstanding organizations each year.
Lunch will be turkey and all the fixins and community members are welcome to join the club for the meal.
A reservation is required and must be received no later than Oct. 26. To make yours, please call Clare Stenge at 707-277-0972.
