GoFundMe donates $150,000 to provide direct relief to California fire victims

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – The wildfires across California continue to devastate communities in its path.

On Wednesday, GoFundMe announced that it will donate $150,000 to provide direct and immediate relief to fire victims.

“All of us at GoFundMe want to share our deepest sympathies to everyone affected by these devastating fires,” said Rob Solomon, CEO of GoFundMe. “We hope that our donation can help those impacted quickly begin the process of rebuilding their lives.”

Approximately 7,000 campaigns have raised $15 million to help victims of the fires. More than 125,000 donations have come from all 50 states and 100 countries and territories.
