Democratic Club hosts Dec. 12 presentation on global warming

LOWER LAKE, Calif. – Denise Rushing, former Lake County District 3 supervisor, will speak to the Lake County Democratic Club on Wednesday, Dec. 12, on the tragic consequences of global warming.

The club meets at 6:30 p.m. in the social hall of the Lower Lake United Methodist Church, 16255 Second St.

If you are concerned about the future for our children, grandchildren and the community of life on Earth, join us for: "Introduction to drawdown: A plan to reverse global warming."

Rushing will cover how global warming can be reversed with solutions that exist today, and what one person can do about global warming.

Rushing has led and advised some of the world's most innovative energy technology companies, accelerating the market adoption of clean, efficient energy.

Perhaps best known for her environmental advocacy and community leadership as a two-term Lake County supervisor, Rushing is also a thre-time best-selling author on the topic of community and cultural transformation.

Today, she works, creates and writes as the founder of New Story Center, dedicated to fostering an environmentally just presence on Planet Earth.

This past summer, Rushing journeyed deep into the Amazon jungle with the Pachamama Alliance at the invitation of two intact indigenous dream cultures.

She returned to Lake County with wisdom and messages to share on behalf of "Pachamama" – the Life Force of Mother Earth.

All Lake County Democratic Club meetings are open to the public. Membership is open to registered Democrats and dues are $20 annually.

The Lake County Democratic Club is an officially chartered club of the Democratic Party of Lake County.
