KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – Another outstanding lunch was enjoyed by the Lakeport Women’s Civic Club on Friday, Feb. 1, at the Riviera Hills Country Club Restaurant.
Details were shared regarding the group’s upcoming 26th annual Mad Hatters Ball on Saturday, April 27, at Konocti Vista Casino in the new banquet hall.
The theme this year is Rockin’ Roll 50’s.
The ladies are having a grand time selecting the music, creating pink carnation centerpieces and making sure they have just the right socks to wear.
The fashion show committee is still looking all around the county for local clothing and apparel merchants who might like to dress the models and all of the club members will be reaching out to businesses that believe in giving back to their communities and supporting important fundraising efforts like this one.
The Lakeport Women’s Civic Club does not simply donate funds that they have collected from businesses around the county but also, each time their own investment funds reach a given level, they take $10,000 off the top and share with those in need. Most recently, they used the funds to help Valley fire survivors.
.
Tickets for this annual luncheon/fashion show will go on sale March 1 at the club’s general meeting.
The invite people to join them as they begin gathering at 11 a.m. for the meeting at 11:30 a.m.
This month the club will celebrate its 97th birthday and playing a game of questions that makes it fun getting to know each other better.
For luncheon reservations you may call Club President Clare Stenge at 707-277-0972.
