NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around the North Coast during the coming week.
Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.
LAKE COUNTY
Highway 20
– Emergency work from Mendocino County Line to Witter Springs Road will end Friday, March 22. One-way traffic control will be in effect 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. weeknights. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
– Emergency work from Mendocino County Line to Van Sleeper Road will occur Friday, March 22. One-way traffic control will be in effect 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.
– Emergency work from Mendocino County Line to Bachelor Valley will begin on Monday, March 25. One-way traffic control will be in effect 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.
– Emergency work from Scott Valley Road to Witter Springs Road will occur on Saturday, March 23. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.
Highway 53
– A Caltrans Encroachment Permit has been granted for utility work at Route 53 on Friday, March 22. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
MENDOCINO COUNTY
Highway 1
– Emergency work at Blue Slide Gulch will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
Highway 20
– Emergency work 2 miles west of Three Chop Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
– Bridge work from North Capella Overcrossing to Redwood Valley Undercrossing will end on Friday, March 22. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
– Emergency work from Road 260 to Old Lake County Road will begin Saturday, March 23. One-way traffic control will be in effect 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 5-minute delays.
Highway 101
– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work north of Road 112 A on Monday, March 25. Lane closures will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.
– Emergency work from Reeves Canyon Road to Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. Lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
– Emergency work 11 miles south of Humboldt County line to Dora Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
– Emergency work north of Piercy will continue. Lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.
Highway 128
– Emergency work from the East limits of Philo to Anderson Valley Way will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work near Shearing Creek on Thursday, March 28. One-way traffic control will be in effect 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
Highway 175
– Full closure of State Route 175 on Monday, March 25, through Wednesday, March 27, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should make alternate plans.
– Emergency work at Lake County Line will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect 24 hours a day. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
Highway 253
– Emergency work Route 128 Boonville to Anderson Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
– Emergency work from Anderson Creek Bridge to Singley Cattlepass will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
– Emergency work from Singley Cattlepass to 1 mile west of Soda Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
Highway 271
– Bridge work at McCoy Creek Bridge will continue. A full bridge closure is in effect. Motorists should plan an alternate route.
The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes, unless noted otherwise above.
