Mendocino National Forest announces wildland fire positions

MENDOCINO NATIONAL FOREST, Calif. – Start the journey to your new career by applying for a permanent fire position on the Mendocino National Forest.

The forest is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, committed workforce for fire and fuels management.

Vacancy announcements open Aug. 1 and close Aug. 28 at 8:59 p.m. Pacific Standard Time.

Positions are available for fuels specialists, apprentices and dispatchers as well as for engine and hotshot crews.

The pay grades range from GS-5 to GS-9.

The work locations are Willows, Stonyford, Elk Creek, Paskenta, Upper Lake, Covelo and Soda Creek.
