LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Chloe Karl will host Jessica Jennings Pyska, candidate for the Lake County Board of Supervisors’ District 5 seat, on KPFZ’s radio show, “Citizen Lake” on Saturday, Sept. 7, at 9 a.m.
Pyska will discuss Lake County’s critical issues of economic vitality, disaster prevention and preparedness, and health and safety while preserving what we love about the county.
Recognizing that sustainable tourism is key to economic vitality, Pyska will speak to building on “tourists’ attraction to our small-town feel, our magnificent setting, and the wonderful welcome they receive from our Lake County residents.”
Recently, she helped organize the very successful inaugural Blackberry COBBler Festival last month, which drew more than 1,000 attendees including many from outside of the county.
Of particular importance to Pyska is the county’s disaster prevention and preparedness. As a part of that, she will outline her plan to bring the Firewise program to additional communities around the lake, funded by recently awarded grant money.
Tune into 88.1 FM or connect via livestream from the KPFZ Web site at www.KPFZ.org .
If time permits, they will be taking questions at 707-263-3435.
