Caltrans plans major roadwork through Oct. 3

NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around the North Coast during the coming week.

Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.

LAKE COUNTY

Highway 20

– Road work from Blue Lakes Road to Colusa County Line will continue from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists can anticipate five-minute delays.

– Survey work will occur between Le Trianon Resort to Blue Lake Motel will begin on Monday, Sept. 30. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Drainage work from Lakeshore Blvd. to Clear Lakes Oaks East will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Highway construction from Catholic Church Road to Long Valley Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Striping operation from North Fork Cache Creek to Colusa County Line will begin Thursday, Oct. 3. On-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 29

– Striping operation from Napa County Line/Route 53 to North Lower Lake will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted an encroachment for utility work from Hilderbrand Drive to West Road on Wednesday, Oct. 2. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Core drilling from Spruce Grove Road South to Hofacker Lane will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Striping operation from Route 53 North Lower Lake to Robinson Rancheria Road will continue, Sunday through Thursday nights. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Bridge work will occur from 11th Street Undercrossing to Hill Road East Overcrossing beginning Wednesday, Oct. 2 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– Bridge work will occur from Reinking Undercrossing to Hill Road Undercrossing beginning Wednesday, Oct. 2 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– Bridge work will occur from Robinson Rancheria Road to Lucerne Undercrossing beginning Wednesday, Oct. 2 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

Highway 53

– Striping operation from Route 53 to Route 20 will continue, Sunday through Thursday nights. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

Highway 175

– Tree work will occur from Arroyo Vista Road to Santa Clara Street will begin Monday, Sept. 30. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Utility and electrical work from Putah Creek to Dry Creek will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

– Paving operation from Haven Neck Drive to Old Stageroad Drive will begin Monday, Sept. 30. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Drainage work south of Iverson Avenue, Point Arena will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Bridge work from Alder Creek Beach to Alder Creek will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Slide removal from Mallo Pass Creek to Elk Creek will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Slide removal from North Limits Elk to Navarro Bluff Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Grinding and paving work from south of Navarro Bluff Road to south of Albion will begin Friday, Sept. 27. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Bridge work from Navarro Bluff Road to Junction 128 East will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Bridge work from Navarro Ridge Road to Albion Ridge Road will begin Friday, Sept. 27. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 20-minute delays.

– Bridge work from Pacific Reefs Road to Spring Grove Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Bridge work from Caspar Lake Road to Caspar Vista Point will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted an encroachment permit for tree work from Odom Lane to Pacific Avenue South on Friday, Sept. 27. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Grinding and paving operation will occur south of 10 Mile River Bridge to south of Blue Slide Gulch beginning on Friday, Sept. 27. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Emergency work at Blue Slide Gulch will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 20

– Slide removal two miles west of Three Chop Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Bridge work from Broaddus Creek 10-107 Bridge to Broaddus Railroad Crossing will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Striping operation from Willits Railroad Crossing to Cold Creek Bridge 5-10-44 will begin Thursday, Sept. 26. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

Highway 101

– Bridge work from Robinson Creek to Robinson Overcrossing will begin Thursday, Sept. 26 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Bridge work from Ackerman Creek to Hensley Creek Undercrossing will begin Thursday, Sept. 26 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Bridge work from Lake Mendocino Drive Undercrossing to Hensley Creek Undercrossing will begin Thursday, Sept. 26 from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Emergency work from Reeves Canyon Road to Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. Motorists should anticipate minimal delays.

– Road work from Ramsey Road to Rattlesnake Summit will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Bridge work from CA Division of Forestry to Jitney Gulch Bridge will begin Monday, Sept. 30. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Emergency work near the Dora Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Bridge work from Stanley Creek Road Undercrossing to South Fork Eel River Bridge 10-93 will continue from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– Bridge work from Piercy South Fork Eel River Bridge 10 93 will begin Friday, Sept. 27 from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

Highway 128

– Highway construction from Route 1 to East Limits Philo will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– Bridge work will occur at the Highway Maintenance Station to Mountain View Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 175

– Emergency work near the Motorcycle Park Entrance will begin Monday, Sept. 30. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 253

– Slide removal Anderson Creek Bridge to Singley Cattlepass will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted an encroachment permit for utility work west of Butler Ranch on Sunday, Sept. 29, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes, unless noted otherwise above.
