LAKEPORT, Calif. – The Lake County Fair Board will meet on Monday, Oct. 28.

The meeting will begin at 4 p.m. in the administration office at the Lake County Fairgrounds, 401 Martin St., Lakeport.

Action and discussion items include approval of financials, reimbursement for truck repair receipts as submitted by Rene Alverz, refund request submitted by Sherry Boek regarding horse entry fees, approval of 2020 Fair event dates and appointment of a nominating committee to nominate 2020 Fair Board members.

Under old business, they will discuss the MMA event proposal, review the NCRA contract, discuss safety and security concerns for the boat races, discuss the November Appreciation Dinner and the fair board members in attendance at the Western Fairs Convention.

In new business, the board will discuss the 2020 Fair theme, the 2020 budget review and discussion, and hold a policy review and update.
