LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Residents in the unincorporated portions of Lake County who have extra food waste due to power outages have various options to dispose of spoiled food and related items.
Customers of South Lake Refuse or Lake County Waste Solutions are encouraged to dispose of the spoiled food in their waste bin and to place clean, empty and dry containers into the recycle bin.
If the amount of waste exceeds the space available in either bin please contact either South Lake Refuse & Recycling at 707-994-8613 or Lake County Waste Solutions at 707-234-6400.
Any resident of Lake County can also take their food waste to the county of Lake’s Eastlake Sanitary Landfill located at 16015 Davis Ave., Clearlake, or to C&S Waste Solutions’ Lake County Transfer Station and Recycling Center at 230 Soda Bay Road, Lakeport.
Commercial customers with large amounts of packaged spoiled food can contact either South Lake Refuse or Lake County Waste Solutions.
City of Clearlake and city of Lakeport residents may contact their respective cities for information on curbside service in each city.
