CLEARLAKE, Calif. – The U.S. flag at Austin Park in Clearlake will be lowered for the winter months on Tuesday, Nov. 12.
The event begins at 11 a.m.
Clearlake Public Works, city staff, Clearlake Police Department and Lakeshore Fire Department will be at the event with Lake County Military Honors team, students from Burns Valley Elementary, members of Park Study Club and the community.
The crowd will begin the event with the pledge of allegiance, followed by the national anthem sung by the Lower Lake High School Show Choir and an address by Det. Steve Hobb of the Clearlake Police Department.
The flag will be lowered to the students and public and folded according to code.
The flag is donated yearly by Park Study Club and will fly high above Austin Park again when it is raised in May.
