Caltrans plans major roadwork through Jan. 30

NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around the North Coast during the coming week.

Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.

LAKE COUNTY

Highway 20

– AT&T has been granted an encroachment permit for utility work at Government Street beginning Monday, Jan. 27. Lane closures will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– AT&T has been granted an encroachment permit for utility work at Keys Blvd. on Friday, Jan. 24, from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– Tree work from New Long Valley Road to Walker Ridge Road will begin Monday, Jan. 27. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Guardrail repair eastbound from the Colusa County Line to Walker Ridge Road will begin Friday, Jan. 24. Lane closures will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 29

– Tree work from Coyote Creek to Route 53 North Lower Lake will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

Highway 175

– PG&E has been granted an encroachment permit for tree work from Mathews Road to Private Road on Wednesday, Jan. 29. Lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Tree work from Arroyo Vista Road to Putah Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

– PG&E has been granted an encroachment permit for tree work from Curley Lane to Little Valley Road on Friday, Jan. 24. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– AT&T has been granted an encroachment permit for utility work from Crispin Road to Pacific View Drive beginning Monday, Jan. 27. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Emergency work at Blue Slide Gulch will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 20

– Slide removal two miles west of Three Chop Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Tree work near Road 200A will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

Highway 101

– Emergency work from Reeves Canyon Road to Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. Lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Gawk screen installation and painting of Krails from Reeves Canyon Road to Ridgewood Ranch Road will begin Monday, Jan. 27. Traffic control will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 30-minute delays.

Caltrans wishes to advise motorists to drive with caution when approaching work areas and to be prepared to stop at traffic control stations.

The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes, unless noted otherwise above.
