NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans will be installing a gawk/glare screen from Reeves Canyon Road to Ridgewood Ranch Road (PM 34.5-39.4) next week.
The installation will begin Monday, Jan. 27.
To reduce the impact on morning commutes, the installation work will take place overnight from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
One-lane traffic control will be in effect, and motorists should anticipate 30-minute delays.
Work is expected to last three days, depending on the weather.
This safety project is in response to motorist comments to help enhance safety during the construction project.
Gawk or glare screens are installed in construction zones to prevent headlights from impairing the night vision of oncoming motorists and to prevent distraction.
Traffic delays to occur on Highway 101 near Willits Jan. 27 to 31
