California State Fair Crafts Competition now open

Happiness is a well-stocked craft room, but showing off your creations brings the most joy.

Do you have a handmade creation that sparks joy? Then, you should enter the California State Fair Crafts Competition.

From sewing to quilting, and needlepoint to embroidery, they want to see it all.

This competition is open to all California crafters and DIY-er, so put down the yarn and sign up today.

Categories include basketry, crochet, embroidery, handspun yarn, knitting, needlepoint, rugs, apparel, and other fiber art.

This year's special contests include “It's Raining Cats & Dogs” and “Memories.”

Winning entries will be on display for the duration of the California State Fair & Food Festival, July 17 to Aug. 2

The competition is open to all California residents, 18 years of age and older.
