NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around the North Coast during the coming week.
Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.
LAKE COUNTY
Highway 20
– Core Drilling from one-half mile west of Blue Lake Motel to east of Mid Lake Road will begin on Friday, March 6. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.
– Apex & Bens Truck has been granted an encroachment permit for incident clean-up and repairs on Verna Way. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, March 6. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– Tree work from Route 53 South to Walker Ridge Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
Highway 29
– Tree work from the Napa County Line to Route 175 Northwest Middletown will continue through Friday, March 6. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.
– Tree work from Hildebrand Drive to Route 53 North Lower Lake will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.
– PG&E has been granted an encroachment permit for utility work will occur on Central Park Road on Wednesday, March 11. Lane closures will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.
Highway 53
– Tree work from 40th Avenue to Route 20 in Clearlake will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
Highway 175
– Tree work from Loch Lomond Road to Putah Creek Bridge will continue through Friday, March 6. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– Guardrail work will occur from Grouss Springs Road to Putah Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– Tree work from Arroyo Vista Road to Santa Clara Street will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
MENDOCINO COUNTY
Highway 1
– Guardrail work from Curley Lane to Iverson Avenue, Point Arena will continue through Friday, March 6. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
– Shoulder work from Russian Gulch to Caspar Creek Bridge on Friday, March 6. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– AT&T has been granted an encroachment permit for utility work from Hazel Street to Oak Street on Friday, March 6. Northbound lane closures will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.
– Emergency work at Blue Slide Gulch will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
Highway 20
– Slide removal two miles west of Three Chop Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
Highway 101
– Survey work from Comminsky Station Road to Pieta Creek Bridge will begin Thursday, March 5. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– Fence Work from South Ukiah Overhead to Route 222 will continue through Friday, March 6. Northbound lane closures will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor slowdowns.
Caltrans wishes to advise motorists to drive with caution when approaching work areas and to be prepared to stop at traffic control stations.
The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes unless noted otherwise above.
