NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around the North Coast during the coming week.
Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.
LAKE COUNTY
Highway 20
– Core Drilling from one-half mile west of Blue Lake Motel to east of Mid Lake Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.
– Tree work from Route 53 South to the Colusa County Line will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 5-minute delays.
Highway 29
– Tree work from the Napa County Line to Route 53 North Lower Lake will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.
– Tree work from the Napa County Line to Central Park Road will begin Monday, March 23. One-way traffic control will be in effect weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.
– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work on Central Park Road near Middletown on Wednesday, March 25. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– A company has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for electrical work from Park Way Overcrossing to Hill Road East Overcrossing Southbound on Tuesday, March 24. Lane closures will be in effect overnight from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.
– Drainage work from Hill Road Undercrossing to Lucerne Undercrossing will occur on Friday, March 20. Southbound lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.
Highway 175
– Tree work from Salmina Drive to Adam Springs Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– Tree work from Loch Lomond Road to Summit Drive will begin on Monday, March 23. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
MENDOCINO COUNTY
Highway 1
– Guardrail work from Curley Lane to Iverson Avenue, Point Arena will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for tree work from Fisherman Drive to Caspar Lake Road beginning Monday, March 23. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for tree work from Stonebord Road to Caspar Lake Road beginning on Monday, March 16. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– Mowing from Ocean Meadows Circle to Pacific Avenue South will occur on Friday, March 20. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.
– Emergency work at Blue Slide Gulch will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
Highway 20
– Slide removal two miles west of Three Chop Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
Highway 101
– Grinding and paving work at Center Street will continue. Alternating lane closures will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.
– Pavement work on the northbound offramp to eastbound Route 20 in Calpella will occur on Saturday, March 21. A full closure will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should use an alternate route.
– Emergency work from Reeves Canyon Road to Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. Lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.
– Tree work at the Jitney Gulch Bridge will occur on Tuesday, March 24. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for tree work near the entrance to Bell Glen Resort on Monday, March 23. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for tree work a mile south of Dora Creek on Monday, March 23. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– Emergency work near the Dora Creek Bridge will continue. Lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
Highway 128
– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for tree work from Salmini Road to Indian Creek beginning Monday, March 23. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
Highway 162
– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for tree work from Outlet Creek Bridge to South Eel River Bridge for Friday, March 20. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
Highway 271
– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for tree work from Route 101 to the Grizzly Creek for Friday, March 20. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for tree work one-half mile north of South Leggett on Wednesday, March 25. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for tree work one-half mile north of Old Route 101 on Tuesday, March 24. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
Caltrans wishes to advise motorists to drive with caution when approaching work areas and to be prepared to stop at traffic control stations.
The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes, unless noted otherwise above.
