She stated it was not the costume wearing, parades or parties. She shared it was a “Perfect Attendance” reward her class was to receive that day.
In the utmost detail, she described the delicious, nutritious and homemade meal she and her friends would share in the comfort of their classroom with Mrs. Facey.
She explained to me that not only were they getting this delicious meal, but that it was homemade by the cafeteria workers. She stated they make it with their own hands because they care.
She described the fruit platter, the salad and the homemade pizza that each student would eat together. It sounded like a meal I would want to eat!
Here’s what this young student so magnificently pointed out: At Kelseyville Elementary they care if she’s there or not, they care about her health, and they make her feel special, everyday!
Thank you to Enrico Frediani, Michelle Malm, the talented chefs and to our community for modeling how a caring school can make a student want to be their best.
