Now is the time to rejoice in the love and memories we share of Geraldine Swicegood.

Her sunset came Sept. 15, 2021, she was called home at the tender age of 85, surrounded by family and friends at the family home in Martinez, Calif.

Geraldine's sunrise came Aug. 7, 1936, when she was born to Luciais and Rosetta Bailey in Seminole, Oklahoma.

A proud momma to her children, Yvonne, Ronald, Lynette and Kevin. She was also a beloved grandmother to nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

One of her favorite quotes was “A great soul serves everyone all the time. A great soul never dies, it brings us together again and again,” by Maya Angelou.

If she was to whisper in our ear from heaven you probably would hear her say Verse John 16:22: “Therefore you now have sorrow; but I will see you again and your heart will rejoice, and your joy no one will take from you.”

Geraldine was laid to rest in Upper Lake Cemetery on Sept. 29, 2021, in a private ceremony.

Care and arrangements entrusted to Jones Mortuary FD311, www.jonesmortuarylakeport.com, Lakeport, California, 707-263-5389.
