Elise Eldona Gunn passed away peacefully at 100 years old, on July 7, 2022, in Carmichael, California, surrounded by the care and love of her family.

Born April 25, 1922, in Kelseyville, California, to Leslie and Irene McIntire of the historical McIntire Ranch, she was the middle sister to Lois Jean and Patricia “the McIntire sisters," and mother to five children. Her youngest son, Donald, predeceased her in 1998.

Elise was an exceptionally loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and mother-figure to all who were blessed enough to know her.

Elise attended business school and lived in San Francisco as a young woman. As a Naval wife, she fearlessly ushered all her children and pets across the country through multiple tours of duty, experiencing life’s adventures along the way. After which, she traveled the world as a travel consultant and created a loving, fun environment for all of her extended family.

Elise was a member of the Red Hat Society, Sweet Adelines, an avid volunteer for the Arts Council and Lakeport’s Main Street Art Gallery, a volunteer in the Lake County public schools reading to elementary school students, as well as an extraordinarily positive influence on all her family members and so much of Lake County's history.

Elise will be deeply missed by her loving children, Robert (Connie), Kathleen (Michael), Dennis (Kathy), and Cheryl; grandchildren, Nicole, Janet, Bruce, Jennifer, Amanda, Eric, Matthew, Jonathon, Michelle, Stephanie, Erin May, Casey, and Tyler; as well as her 20 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Elise was a courageous soul, extraordinarily beautiful inside and out. She was the glue that held the family together. Her fabulous sense of humor, zest for life, and love of family will forever live in our hearts and memories.

A private interment will be held at Kelseyville Cemetery honoring both Elise and her daughter, Kathleen’s beloved husband of 52 years, Michael. Passing only three days after Elise, he also joined the journey to heaven surrounded by the love of his wife and daughters, and grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life honoring Elise and Michael, at the Kelseyville Presbyterian Church on Thursday, July 28, at 12:30 p.m. where refreshments will be served.

Arrangements by Chapel of the Lakes Mortuary, 707-263-0357 or 707-994-5611, or visit www.chapelofthelakes.com.

Michael Paul Ira took his final breath on July 10, 2022, age 75, in Carmichael, California, surrounded by love, hugs, and kisses from his wife, daughters, and grandchildren.

Michael was an incredibly loving husband, father, Papa, son, brother, uncle, and soldier, leaving his mark on many lives.

Michael (Honey, Dad, Papa) will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 52 years, Kathleen; daughters, Jennifer and Amanda; grandchildren, Chase, Dylan, Matthew, Melanie and McIntire; and family and friends.

Michael was born March 30, 1947, in San Jose, California to Joseph and Dorothy Ira, brother to Rodney, Dennis and Joey (all of whom preceded him in death).

At the age of 11, his family moved to Fair Oaks, California. Drafted into the Army (Vietnam) at age 19, earning honors, accreditations, and marksmanship awards while enlisted.

Michael met and married his wife Kathleen in 1970, had two daughters, and later five amazing grandchildren.

Michael’s passion for his family showed his love in every camping trip, driving lesson, dance recital, backyard barbecue, home construction project, and in helping his wife care for his mother-in-law during her last days.

The ache of his absence is deeper than can be said. His love and affection touched the hearts of all those who knew him and left lasting impressions on their lives. His strength and faith allowed him to endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles. Michael was and still is our hero.

A private interment will be held at Kelseyville Cemetery, honoring both Michael and his mother-in-law, Elise Gunn who passed at his side, only three days prior.

Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of their lives at the Kelseyville Presbyterian Church on Thursday, July 28, at 12:30 p.m.

Arrangements by Chapel of the Lakes Mortuary, 707-263-0357 or 707-994-5611, or visit www.chapelofthelakes.com.
