LAKE COUNTY, Calif. — Reginald Howard Jones, “Reggie,” passed away on Dec. 25, 2021, at the age of 62, with his beloved wife, Roseanne and dog, Rei by his side.
He loves his daughter, Miya and adores grandchildren, Jordan, Journie Regi and James. He will be greatly missed by many including his father, Doug, and mother, Christine.
Reggie was diagnosed with ocular metastatic melanoma in the spring of 2021. It was a short and courageous journey that progressed rapidly.
He owned Bayshore Canvas and honed his master craftsman skill over a lifetime. He could fix anything, you should have seen some of the crap people asked him to shine and he would to the amazement of all. Always willing to help others, teach them and share information.
We’ll remember his contagious laughter and how he liked things that went fast; cars, boats, planes and life.
Reggie was a beautiful person that had no regrets, loved sports and long walks in the stillness of nature. Thanks for your legacy, Reggie!

Gordon Bell

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. — Gordon (AKA Mick) died very suddenly on Jan. 6, 2022, as a result of a fall.
Gordon was born Aug. 11, 1937, the youngest of three brothers, to John and Alba Bell in San Rafael, California. He attended Marin County schools and graduated in 1955 from Sir Francis Drake High School.
Gordon enlisted in the U.S. Army and served from 1956 until his honorable discharge in 1958. He then attended barber college but shortly after completion decided to follow in his father’s footsteps and become a firefighter.
He was employed and retired as Captain Bell after 31 years from the Larkspur Fire Department. He highly valued his camaraderie and friendship with his fellow firefighter/brothers.
Gordy was first married to Joanne Bell and together they raised their daughter Stacey (Mark) Marron of Seattle, Washington. They are raising their daughter Natalie, the light of Grandpa’s eye.
In 1998 Gordon met and in 2000 married Janet Winegar Connor and became part of her large extended family. In their 21 and a half years of marriage, they traveled, boated, water skied, golfed car clubbed, and spent many joyful hours with their beloved families and friends.
Gordon is survived by his wife, Jan, and her children, Jaye Chasseur of Reno, Nevada, and son, Douglas Connor and family of New Braunfels, Texas.
He is also survived by brother, Kenneth Bell of Santa Rosa, California, and his children and their families; sisters-in-law Barbara Sarao (Vince) (deceased), Mary (Ted) Stevens, Georgia (Jim) Sprigg, Pattie (Gary) Hill, Kathleen Mann and all their families.
Jan and family wish to extend gratitude to everyone from the paramedics, doctors, nurses and all staff at Sutter Lakeside Hospital for their superb care and concern.
At Gordon's request, his family and friends are planning a celebration of life in the near future.

LAKEPORT, Calif. — Coveda Yvonne Miller, born on Dec. 29, 1951, to Joaquin and Verle Miller of Upper Lake, California, a Tribal Elder of the Habematolel tribe, passed peacefully in Lakeport, California, on Monday morning, Jan. 17, 2022.
Her beautiful soul leaves behind six grandchildren, Leannlynn Faber, Shably Navarro, David Doberstein, Talisua Niko, Presley Niko and Weya Niko; two great-grandchildren, Michael Rock and Yvette Nessalyn; two sisters, Eileen Brown and Jackie Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews, family and friends.
She will always be in our memories and deeply missed.
Visitation will start on Friday, Jan. 21, at 10 a.m. at the Tribal Hall in Upper Lake.
Graveside service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 22, at noon at Upper Lake Rancheria Cemetery.
