He was born Aug. 6, 1962, in Redondo Beach, California.
He is survived by his beautiful daughter Randi Joelene Hill in Lake County, California; his brother Jerry Hill in Placer County, California; his sister Midori Hill Feldman in San Luis Obispo County, California; and his sister Martha A. Hill in Mendocino County, California; as well as many relatives throughout California and Pennsylvania.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, the Rev. Jim Hill and Mavis Hill, and his older brother Chip Hill.
Joe was a graduate of Willits High School and earned an Associate of Arts degree from Mendocino Community College.
He was a state of California civil servant and worked tirelessly for Caltrans, providing safe highways for us all.
His kind heart, friendliness and sometimes goofball antics will be remembered and missed by everyone that knew him.

Charles Marion Marschall
1940-2020
Charles Marion Marschall passed away peacefully on May 24, 2020, in Santa Rosa, California.
He was born on May 9, 1940, to Wilhelm and Pansy Marschall. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Navy for 20-plus years.
He then worked as a rural mail carrier for the Lakeport Post Office.
Charles is survived by his children, Jeff, Michael, Jason and Jon McAloon (who he considered as a son); 11 grandchildren; brother, Carl (Linda); sister, Sharon Meline; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
No services will be held per Charles' request.

Ronald John Wood, age 77, was born on April 23, 1943, in San Francisco and passed away on May 14, 2020, in Santa Rosa, California.
In 1953, Ron moved to Lake County, California, with his family. He attended Clear Lake High School where he met and later married his high school sweetheart, Judy Kuns. He was a member of the Scott's Valley Timing Association.
Ron worked for Pepsi Cola and then went to work for his parents at the C&E Market as a meat cutter and then at Safeway. His work took on other facets with El Ray Distributing and he retired from Jonas Oil.
Ron was very proud of his family; they were his life. He enjoyed black powder rendezvous, camping trips, hunting and fishing, especially with his Alaska family.
Baseball was his sport. Spring training in March was a must.
He was a volunteer fireman for 23 years with the Lakeport Fire Department, a member of the Konocti Rod and Gun Club as well as the NRA.
Ron is survived by his wife of 59 years, Judy; daughter, Kim Kieffer (George); son, Stuart (Colleen); granddaughter, Jessie (Ben); grandsons, Brad, Ethan and Shane; and three great-grandsons, Byson, Deegan and Jameson.
He is predeceased by his daughter, Rhonda; parents, Charles and Margaret; and brother, Larry.
Ron was full of life and quite the character; he always had a story to make you laugh or smile.
A celebration of life will be planned for a later date.
