Kenneth Wayne Thomason
1933 - 2020
Kenneth Wayne Thomason passed away on March 11, 2020, after battling lung cancer.
He was born in Brownfield, Texas, to Lecton and H.M. Thomason.
He joined the United States Air Force and served 26 years as a Weatherman in Alaska, Morocco and Germany.
In retirement, he moved to Lakeport, California, and spent the last 21 years in beautiful Lake County.
He was a true gentleman and will be missed by his wife of 55 years, Heide; his two sons, Pete and Mike; and grandchildren.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date.

Nancy Jane Hardister (nee Sohm)
Nancy passed peacefully on Friday, March 13, 2020, at Santa Cruz, California, after a long battle with respiratory disease.
She was born in Staten Island, New York, to Frances Edythe Billard and Milton Frederick Sohm on December 14, 1941, just one week after Pearl Harbor and the beginning of World War II.
She joined older sisters Ann and Vivienne and their father passed away shortly after her birth. Her mother remarried several years later and the family moved to California, where they settled in Brisbane.
During her childhood they resided in various locations around the Bay Area, including San Jose, Los Gatos, Sunnyvale, Palo Alto and Mountain View, where Nancy attended Mountain View High.
She married Kenneth Overstreet and had a son, Kenneth Jr., on Oct. 22, 1961. That union ended and her subsequent marriage to Woodrow Flud produced her beloved daughter, Kimberly Ann.
She lived for many happy years in San Martin, California, where she reveled in the country life with horses, goats, chickens, dogs and other creatures. Her home was the site of many happy holiday and summer gatherings, where she welcomed all with good humor and generosity.
She eventually moved to Lucerne, California, where she resided for many years, and most recently to Boulder Creek, where she joined her daughter, Kim’s family.
She adored her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and was devoted to her sisters, brother, brothers and sister-in-law, nieces, nephews and extended family. She loved making quilts for all of the new babies arriving and for her sisters and friends at holidays, and was famous for her white angel cookies at Christmas. She had a lifelong love of country music.
We will miss her unique personality – loving, smart, funny, caring, generous, feisty. She made friends everywhere with her kindness and good humor.
Nancy was predeceased by her dear son, Kenny, and beloved sister, Vivienne.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Kim Markey (Steve); sisters, Ann Sohm Bastovan, Virginia Van Zandt (Jim Bruen), Elayne Merz and Elyssa Emerick (Glen); and brother, Walter Siebeneicher (Cam).
Her survivors also include grandchildren Trinity Carlos (Alvaro), Charity Sohn, Kayla Rebolledo (Gustavo), Amanda Campbell (Dave Morosco), Stevie and Christopher Markey, and great-grandchildren Kane, Jade and Bella Carlos, Gustavo, Caroline and Giovanni Rebolledo, and soon-to-arrive baby Evelyn Morosco, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and devoted friends.
Plans for a celebration of Nancy’s life are pending.

Marvin David Brown
Feb. 5, 1945 - March 18, 2020
Marvin passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 18, 2020, after a long battle with multiple health complications.
He was the second son of the late James P. Brown Jr. and Elvina Virginia Brown and brother of the late Cecil Brown, Raymond Brown and Sharon Brown.
He leaves behind his eldest sister, Geraldine and (Hason) Johnson; sister-in-law, Carol Brown; brother, James and (Gail) Brown III; his only son, Michael Brown and daughter-in-law, Shelby Watkins-Brown; grandson, Yakez Brown and grand-daughter, Nataya Brown; along with many incredible nieces and nephews who were also like children to him.
Marvin was born in Upper Lake, California, and grew up in Lake County. He graduated from Lower Lake High School and was the king of football, and played basketball and baseball as well. He tried out for the San Francisco Seals, the San Francisco Giants Minor League baseball team. He was a youth coach for his son and nephews in baseball and basketball.
Later in his prime, he started the family men’s fastpitch softball team, The Tribe. When he retired from playing fast-pitch, he continued the tradition with his brothers and coached his son and nephews carrying on the Brown family tradition of fast-pitch.
Marvin served his country in the Vietnam War with the US Army. He worked for Pacific Gas & Electric Co. and retired after 31 years as a senior machinist. He was a true Oakland Raiders fan, an Oakland A’s fan and Golden State Warriors fan.
He will be missed by many.
