LAKEPORT, Calif. – Richard A. Oleson passed away on April 23, 2020, in Lakeport.

He was born June 24, 1932, in Sheridan, Oregon.

Richard was a wonderful husband to Frances, and loving father to Larry, Michael, Todd and Tara.

He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict.

Richard retired as an aerospace microelectronics manager.

He was just a really great guy!

Edna Mae Harrison

Born as Edna Mae Harris on January 13, 1936, leaving this earth on April 14, 2020.

Edna grew up in Monroe, Louisiana and then migrated to San Francisco, California, alongside her brother, Bobbie Brown.

She graduated from Galileo High School and went on to become an 18-plus year veteran nurse at San Francisco General Hospital before she retired.

She had three children, Gregory, Gary and Felicia.

Edna later met and then married Henry Harrison, who also had three children, Herman, Michael, and Carmen, becoming a big blended family.

About 1986 they moved to Nice, California, modeling for the prestige social club “Ladies of the Lake” and later as a volunteer for Hospice Thrift Store for over 20 years.

She is survived by her remaining four children, Gary Polk, Herman Harrison, Michael Harrison, and Carmen Harrison; grandchildren, Marcus, Kesha, Nikki, Sparkle, Nathen, Ernest, Tandem, Lena, Andrew, Vincent and Martin; and her beloved many great- and great-great-grandchildren.

She will be remembered most by her beautiful smile, her devotion to her family, her amazing sense of style, and her ability to make any and everyone feel welcomed.

Helen Layne

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Beloved wife, mother, and friend, Helen Mae (Wunderlich) Layne passed away in the early hours of March 31, 2020.

Born in San Mateo, California, on March 2, 1942, Helen attended Our Lady of Angels Catholic School in Burlingame before moving to Lake County during her junior year of high school.

She graduated from Lower Lake High School in 1960 and soon after married her high school sweetheart, Ron Layne.

After living on the East Coast while Ron was in the Army, they settled in the Santa Rosa area. and Helen held various secretarial jobs while focusing on raising three children: Robert Layne, Maureen Layne Waddle and Christopher Layne.

In 1977, they returned to their beloved Lake County. Helen worked for Konocti Unified School District for 26 years before retiring.

A faithful member of the Catholic Church, Helen could often be found working with the children and the first communion classes.

She and Ron were active members of the Clearlake community and then split time between Clearlake and Arizona during their retirement.

Helen is survived by her husband, Ronald Layne; her sister, Annmarie Schaffer; her children and their spouses Rob (Beth), Maureen (Sean) and Chris (Deb); seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be arranged at a future date.
