— AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for emergency work at Le Trianon Resort on Friday, Aug. 13. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

— Construction near Saratoga Spring Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

— AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Private Road to Bachelor Valley on Monday, Aug. 16. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

— AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Private Road to Irvine Avenue on Tuesday, Aug. 17. One-way traffic control is in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

— PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Grove Street on Friday, Aug. 13. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

— PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from 16th Street to County Club Drive on Tuesday, Aug. 17. Lane closures will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

— Grinding and paving from North Fork Cache Creek to Walker Ridge Road will continue Friday, Aug. 13. One-way traffic control will be in effect weekdays from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 20-minute delays.

Highway 29

— Construction from Spruce Grove Road to Hofacker Lane will continue Friday, Aug. 13. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

— Construction from Route 281 to Private Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect overnight from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

Highway 175

— Highway construction from the Mendocino County Line to Mathews Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

— AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Manchester to Alder Creek on Friday, Aug. 13. One-way traffic control will be in effect weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

— AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Philo Greenwood Road to North Limits Elk beginning Thursday, Aug. 19. One-way traffic control will be in effect on Thursday, Aug. 19, and Friday, Aug. 20, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 20

— Slide removal two miles west of Three Chop Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

— Highway construction east of Three Chop Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

— PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Broaddus Creek 10 107 to Cropley Lane on Friday, Aug. 13. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

— Electrical work at Blosser Road will begin on Monday, Aug. 16. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 101

— Slide removal from Comminsky Station Road to Pieta Creek Bridge will continue. Lane closures will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

— Emergency work from Uva Drive to Ridgewood Ranch Road will occur on Sunday, Aug. 15. One-way traffic control will be in effect overnight from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

— Work south of Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. Lane closures will be in effect in both directions. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

— PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from the Southbound Entrance to Willits Bypass to the Entrance to Georgia Pacific on Friday, Aug. 13. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

— Moss Cove Safety Rest Area will be closed through fall 2021.

— Guardrail work at Irvine Lodge Rest Area – Northbound will occur on Friday, Aug. 13. Lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

— Empire Camp Safety Rest Area will be closed through fall 2021.

— Drainage work from Piercy to the Humboldt County Line will continue. Lane closures will be in effect weekdays. Motorists can anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

— Drainage work at the Piercy on and off ramp will continue. Full ramp closures will be in effect weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Motorists should use an alternate ramp.

Highway 175

— Shoulder work east of Buckman Drive will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect weekdays from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 271

— Drainage work from Old Route 101 to South Fork Eel River will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Police issue traffic safety advisory for Lakeport Unified School District’s return to classes Aug. 11

LAKEPORT, Calif. — As the Lakeport Unified School District is starting classes on Wednesday, Aug. 11, the Lakeport Police Department and school district staff are reminding all drivers to use extreme caution when traveling in the area of and on the grounds of the Lakeport schools.

Officials said they expect heavier-than-normal vehicle and pedestrian traffic near the school grounds in the mornings and afternoons.

Officers will be increasing traffic enforcement in the area.

Also, motorists are asked to please watch for students who may be waiting for buses or walking or riding bicycles to school.

Lastly, remember to stop for school buses when red lights flash.

Members sought for Lake County Park Advisory Committee

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. — The county of Lake is seeking community-minded citizen volunteers with an interest to help steer the future of the Lake County parks system to serve on the Lake County Park Advisory Committee.

The county is currently seeking two members, one from District 3 (northern portion of Lake County) and one from District 4 (western portion of Lake County).

The committee generally meets quarterly or on an as-needed basis.

The purpose of the committee is to advise on matters affecting the Lake County parks such as review improvements, maintenance and recreation programs, budget and capital improvements, and act as liaison between the community, Board of Supervisors and Public Services director.
