Public Services office, Eastlake Landfill to be closed for Memorial Day

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – The Lake County Public Services Department announced that the Eastlake Landfill and the Public Services office will be closed Monday, May 27, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday.

Thompson votes to pass disaster bill to boost local recovery and rebuilding efforts

WASHINGTON, DC – On Friday Rep. Mike Thompson (CA-05) voted to pass H.R. 2157, the Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2019, a bill that includes additional funding for areas hit by and still recovering from disasters, including the Fifth Congressional District.

Privacy Awareness Week begins May 13

SACRAMENTO – In recognition of the increasing role of technology in consumers’ lives, the amount of personal information shared by businesses and the damage caused by unwanted disclosure and data breaches, Sen. Bill Dodd, D-Napa, has authored a resolution designating the third week in May as Privacy Awareness Week.
