CLEARLAKE, Calif. – The Clearlake Planning Commission’s regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, July 16, has been canceled.

The commission is next scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, in the council chambers at Clearlake City Hall, 14050 Olympic Drive.

This year’s theme was “Fun in the Sun.”

KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, Flotilla 88 of Lake County, will meet on Saturday, July 27.

The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. at the Konocti Bay Sailing Club building located at Braito's Marina at the end of the Buckingham Peninsula in Kelseyville.  

The meeting is open to anyone 17 years or older who would be interested in joining this active group.

LUCERNE, Calif. – A caregiver support group for families dealing with memory loss or other cognitive impairments will meet on Thursday, July 18.

The group meets at the First Lutheran Church, 3863 Country Club Drive across from the Lucerne Alpine Senior Center, from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Social worker Jenny Johnson is the facilitator.  

The group is sponsored by Redwood Caregiver Resource Center (1-800-834-1636) and the Social Day Programs in Lake County.

CLEARLAKE, Calif. – Lake County Youth Services is having work days at the youth center on Golf Avenue in Clearlake on Saturday, July 13, and Sunday, July 14.

Work both days starts at 7 a.m.

The main goal is to remove and replace the building’s siding.

Other goals are to set up storage shed shelving and moving items into the shed.

Coffee, donuts and lunch will be served.

LAKEPORT, Calif. – Love to play Bunco or want to learn to play?

Join friends, neighbors and fellow Bunco buddies for Delta Iota Tau’s inaugural Bunco tournament on Thursday, Oct. 10.

The tournament starts at 6 p.m. at the Soper-Reese Community Theatre, 275 S. Main St., Lakeport.

Bring a group, dress up and create a theme. There will be a prize for the most creative group – the wackier the better.

Participants will play in their own group, or if they prefer, join a different group.

The cost is $20 per person, which includes a wine glass and five raffle tickets.

This is a fundraiser for Delta Iota Tau, which donates thousands of dollars locally in scholarships each year to many deserving agencies and individuals throughout Lake County.
