MIDDLETOWN, Calif. – The Middletown Area Town Hall (MATH) group will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 14.

The group will meet at the Calpine Visitor Center, 15500 Central Park Road, Middletown.

The public is invited to attend.

Under new business, the group will consider nominating Mike Tabacchi as the alternate board member and a letter to Lake County Animal Care & Control Control will be read.

They also will discuss the Middletown Square Park pump house door, the state of the county building and the Highway 29 project.

There also will be board and committee reports, and the April 11 meeting agenda.

MATH meetings are subject to videotaping. Meeting proceedings may be available for viewing on public access television and/or the Internet.

MATH – established by resolution of the Lake County Board of Supervisors on Dec. 12, 2006 – is a municipal advisory council serving the residents of Anderson Springs, Cobb, Coyote Valley (including Hidden Valley Lake), Long Valley and Middletown.

The group’s current board of directors include Chairman Fletcher Thornton, Vice Chair Claude Brown, Secretary Ken Gonzales and members Tom Darms and Laura Helton.

LAKEPORT, Calif. – The Lakeport Parks and Recreation Commission will meet on Thursday, March 14.

The commission will meet beginning at 3 p.m. in the council chambers at Lakeport City Hall, 225 Park St.

Commissioners are Lynn Andre, Cindy Ustrud, Ronald Bertsch, Ann Blue and Suzanne Russell.

Agenda items include reports on Library Park, Westside Park and Westshore Pool.

Under new business, commissioners will discuss seating and fencing at the dog park at Westside Park.

The commission will next meet on Thursday, April 11.

KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – The Presbyterian Women will host their annual rummage sale on Friday, April 5, and Saturday, April 6.

The bargain hunting begins on Friday at 9 a.m. and goes until 7 p.m., and on Saturday, beginning at 9 a.m. and going until 3 p.m.

All day Saturday will be a bag sale, so shop early and come back again and again.

Homemade chili also will be for sale, and make sure to visit Granny's Attic, with collectibles and other interesting items for sale.

All proceeds benefit Presbyterian Women's programs in the Kelseyville community.

LAKEPORT, Calif. – The Green Party has resumed meetings at the Lakeport Lagoons Mobile Home Park Clubhouse, 1800 S. Main St.

The group’s next meeting will take place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, March 17.

This will be a potluck meeting so bring something to share.

Speakers or presenters are welcome. The election of officers also will take place.

LAKEPORT, Calif. – Lake County Public Service’s Director Caroline Chavez announced that the Historic Courthouse Museum in Lakeport will be closed Sunday, March 31, in observance of Easter.

The museum will reopen on Wednesday, April 3.

Normal operating hours at the Courthouse Museum in Lakeport are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and Noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.

The Historic Schoolhouse Museum in Lower is normally open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday though Saturday and closed on Sundays.

NICE, Calif. – Nice Mutual Water Co. will hold its annual shareholders meeting on Saturday, June 15.

The meeting will begin at 1 p.m. at the water company, 3246 Lakeshore Blvd.

Three director positions are up for election.
