LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – KPIX/CBS Channel 5's “Eye on the Bay” recently featured Lake County, and the show can now be viewed online.

The show, which originally aired on Friday, May 4, was produced by Jennifer Halse and host Brian Hackney.

Shot over three days in late March, the segment used the Yerba Santa Goat Dairy in Scotts Valley to emphasize the rural tranquility and local agriculture in Lake County.

It then shifts to Ceago Vinegarden in Nice and the Tallman Hotel and Blue Wing Restaurant in Upper Lake to point out the quality accommodations and fine food and wine available here.

The link between the two themes is Blue Wing Executive Chef Nick Heidemann, who also a co-owner of the goat farm.

“We were happy to cooperate with the film crew,” said Tallman owner Lynne Butcher. “The weather was a bit gray during the shoot, but I think the filming went well and they were all quite impressed with what they experienced here.”

Producer Hulse agreed. “We really had a nice time,” she said, “and we hope to return to Lake County soon to experience some fun in the sun.”
