NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning Commission of the County of Lake, State of California, will hold a public hearing to consider MAJOR USE PERMIT (UP 19-06) based on Initial Study (IS 19-11) on Thursday, March 12, 2020, 9:20 a.m., in the Board of Supervisors’ Chambers, 255 N. Forbes Street, Lakeport, California.

LUCERNE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT
APPLICATIONS BEING ACCEPTED FOR
BOND CITIZENS’ OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE
NOTICE is hereby given that the Lucerne Elementary School District has established a Citizens’ Oversight Committee to oversee expenditures of Measure A bond funds, which were the bond measures approved by District voters on November 8, 2016.
On December 3, 2019, the district issued a bond sale, series A 2019, in the amount of $2,920,000, leaving approximately $1.1 million for future sales under the measure A authorization.
The District is presently accepting applications from interested persons, on a voluntary basis, to serve on the Committee.
The Committee will consist of seven members which meet and review reports prepared by District staff relating to bond fund expenditures to ensure money is used on voter-approved projects.
Maintaining a committee to review expenditures is required by law and was promised to District voters as part of the transparency and accountability provisions in the bond measures.
Interested persons may obtain an application from the Superintendent’s Office, located at 3351 Country Club Drive, Lucerne, CA, or download the application from the District’s website at www.lucerne.k12.ca.us .
Applications are due by 5 p.m. on February 28, 2020, at the office of the Superintendent.
