HIDDEN VALLEY LAKE, Calif. – After having been rained out March 1, the H.V.L. Men's Niners Golf Club opened its 2012 season with a low net (sweeps) competition on Mar 8.
The results were:
- First flight: Randy Brown finished in first at net 33. Al Burrows was second with 35 and Dave Mann came in third at 36.
- Second flight: Juergen Haller posted the lowest net of the day, 31. Don Dornbush was second, 33. Jeff Markham, Jim Stratton and Doug Healy tied for third at 35.
- Third flight: Bill Lyon was first, 32. Mason Butler was second with 35 and Pete Gumina third, 36.
Closest to the par 3 pins were Ben Kennedy and Al Burrows.
Chip-ins were scored by Juergen Haller and Jeff Markham.

MIDDLETOWN, Calif. – During the month of March only, new customers may come take free Jazzercise classes on Fridays.
Classes are offered at 8:30 a.m., 9:45 a.m. (lite/low impact), 1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the Jazzercise Fitness Center, 15642 Armstrong St., two blocks behind the post office in Middletown.
