This is an opportunity to get some exercise while you enjoy the outdoors and the wonders of nature.
The interpretive trail has more than 50 signs identifying the plants, shrubs, trees, mosses and wildflowers encountered on the path.
The 1.3-mile hike will be moderately paced and on moderate terrain and will be led by Darlene Hecomovich.
During this guided walk, Hecomovich will talk about and identify the flora encountered along the way. Fall is displaying its colors so come and enjoy the spectacle.
The beautiful mountain dogwood is turning red, the big leaf maple trees are a brilliant yellow but not to be outdone by the poison oak which makes the brightest show of all.
Wear sturdy shoes, dress appropriately for weather conditions, and bring water and enthusiasm.
Meet at the Parking Lot Kiosk promptly at 9 a.m.
The forest entrance is located off Highway 175, just two miles north of Cobb Village. Turn at the blue State Fire Station/Boggs Mountain Forest sign.

CLEARLAKE, Calif. – Glory Days Flag Football League will have a free “open” scrimmage game beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 29.
The game will be held at Clearlake's Austin Park, 14077 Lakeshore Drive.
This will be the last preseason game before the team registration Jamboree takes place at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, at Haverty Field, 14241 Austin Road, Clearlake.
The Glory Days Flag Football League Jamboree is held to register teams and develop the schedule for the regular season, which will start on Saturday, Nov. 19.
The open scrimmage will be the final chance for players/teams to take advantage of this format to “kick the rust off” before the league begins its 2011-12 Winter Season.
All football enthusiasts are encouraged to get out to the field and participate.
