HIDDEN VALLEY LAKE, Calif. – The HVL Men's Niners Golf Club held a low net (sweeps) competition on Thursday, Oct. 27.

The results were:

First flight: Rick Canevari and Randy Brown tied at the top with net 32. Paul Bertlin came in third at 33.
Second flight: Don Dornbush finished first with the lowest net of the day, 30. Phil Tyler was second at 32 and Joe Whitbeck was third at 33.
Third flight: Bob Costello and Jim DeRosa tied for first with 33. Hal Weber and Doug Carter tied for third with 35.

Closest to the par 3 pins were Jim Brown and Mike Riley.

Forty men took part in this event.

HIDDEN VALLEY LAKE, Calif. – The Lake County Correctional Officers Association will host its inaugural golf scramble tournament on Saturday, Oct. 29.

The tournament will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Hidden Valley Lake Golf Course, 19210 Hartmann Road.

Team sign in is from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., tee off time (shotgun start) is at 12:00 p.m. Raffle, awards and barbecue dinner begin at 6 p.m.

All proceeds will go to the association's scholarship and community activities fund.
