LAKEPORT, Calif. – What happens when three kids (who have never been to church before) on an errand for their mom (will she ever get her eggs) run into a church pageant rehearsal with three missing performers?

They get invited to be part of the show, of course!

The United Methodist Church Youth Choir will hold three performances of “That Starry Night.”

This musical inspires us to remember that all are welcome at church, everyone is important to the Christmas story and Jesus is the reason for the season.

The performances are scheduled as follows:

– 9 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 10, Kelseyville United Methodist Church;
– 11 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 10, Middletown Community United Methodist Church;
– 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, at Middletown Community United Methodist Church.

All are welcome. Entrance is free but donations will be gratefully accepted.

The church will be decorated for Christmas, with special cookies and hot beverages available for visitors.

Musicians will lead visitors in singing Christmas Carols, using song sheets provided by the churches.
