LOWER LAKE, Calif. – Congregation Beit Chavurah of Lake County is hosting Shabbat services on the second and fourth Fridays in January.
The services will take place at 7 p.m. Jan. 8 and Jan. 22 at the Lower Lake United Methodist Church. Everyone is welcome.
The Jan. 8 Shabbat’s Torah portion is Va'eira (Exodus 6:2 – 9:35).

A Saturday morning service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 30.
The service will be followed by a potluck luncheon. Please bring salads, “noshes” or dessert; Beit Chavurah will supply the sandwiches.

LAKEPORT, Calif. – Men's Ministries of the Lakeport Seventh-day Adventist Church will be showing "War Room" by the creators of "Fireproof" and "Courageous" at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, in the fellowship hall.
The church is located at the the corner of Park and Hill, right off Highway 29.
Admission is free and refreshments will be available.

LAKEPORT, Calif. – The Rt. Reverend Barry L. Beisner, bishop of the Diocese of Northern California, will offer Holy Eucharist and preach this Sunday, Jan. 3, at Saint John's Episcopal Church in Lakeport.
His homily will be based on the second chapter of Matthew which tells of the Holy Family's escape into Egypt from the persecution of King Herod.
Services start at 10 a.m.
Bishop Beisner also will bless the Father Leo M. Joseph Memorial Office, visit with the congregation and guests in Carey Hall, and meet with the Vestry.
Saint John's Church welcomes both parishioners and the public to this important event.
Saint John’s is located at 1190 N. Forbes St. Lakeport, and has been the presence and ministry of The Episcopal Church in Lake County since 1877.

LUCERNE, Calif. – First Lutheran Church in Lucerne will host a free community dinner on Christmas Eve, Thursday, Dec. 24.
Roast turkey with all the trimmings will be served from 12:30 to 4 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.
A Christmas Eve candlelight service will be held at 5 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
First Lutheran is located at 3863 Country Club Drive, at the corner of 10th and Country Club.
