LAKEPORT, Calif. – Lakeport Christian Center presents “Christmas Around the World” on Sunday, Dec. 12, at the church's morning celebration, which begins at 10:30 a.m.
This year's event will feature special speaker Rev. Erhard Arndt, who preaches in Germany and the United States.
“Christmas Around the World” also will feature special music and international traditions, as well as multinational languages and ethnic clothing.
The morning will conclude with an international dinner (potluck-style) at noon.
The public is welcome to attend.
Child care and Kid's Church are available.

But how can we hear the invitation today with the cacophony of sounds and events that herald this season, not as one of worship, but of parties and shopping? How indeed. Allow United Christian Parish to help.
The church will host a Latin service beginning at 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 12.
Nothing rings in Christmas like music – familiar carols, the grandeur of a multi-voice choir, the chiming celebration of bells, all surrounding the beloved Christmas story.
Join UCP for “Come Let Us Adore Him,” a celebration of the season featuring the UCP Chancel Choir, 21 men and women, voices raised in praise, ready to help you start Christmas on the right note.
Also taking part are Beaux and Belles, the UCP English Hand Bell Ensemble that will ring in just the right amount of tradition and joy, Wing and a Prayer, a contemporary Praise Band combining rhythm and strings with voices like angels, and of course HisStory – the reason behind the season, interspersed with each musical offering will be the Living Word, the Christmas story as told through the eyes of the gospel of Luke.
Bring the whole family and rekindle the spirit of Christmas in your heart.
This annual event is always free, always uplifting and spiritual, and you will leave with a spring in your step and a song in your heart, plus a warm feeling in your body after you partake of the hot spiced cider and baked goodies afterward.
