CLEARLAKE, Calif. – The Clearlake Church of the Nazarene is excited to present a celebration in dance with the Messianic Jewish “Aliyah-Rise Up!” Dance Tour, Saturday, Nov. 27.

“This promises to be a truly unique and inspirational event,” said Nazarene Pastor Richard Bean. “There is so much to be gained in honoring our Savior through dance, and it’s great fun. It’s happy dancing!”

The dance camp begins with registration at 4 p.m. and presentation and workshops beginning at 4:30 p.m.

Presenters will be Ralph and Mindy Seta of Messianic Dance Camps International.

The “Aliyah – Rise Up!” program offers choreographed dances to the music of Israeli artist Ronen Shalom as an outreach to Christian believers interested in experiencing the Jewish roots of their faith in the Messiah, Jesus Christ.

As well as performing and teaching messianic or Israeli dance the Setas share testimony, talk about what God is doing amongst the Jewish people today, and teach on Messianic Judaism or the Jewish roots of the Christian faith.

Ralph Seta was called to the Messianic Movement in 1988 and began ministering through dance with workshops on Davidic dance throughout the United States, Holland, Budapest and Mexico.

Recently, Seta participated in the Men’s Messianic Dance Group performing for the Promise Keepers Pastors and Leaders Conference in Phoenix, Arizona.

Mindy Seta came to faith in Yeshua (Jesus) on Rosh Hashanah (the Jewish New Year) 1992. She was a dance leader for 10 years and dance director for five years before the birth of her daughter in 2003. Recently her skills were used to choreograph concerts performed at The Holy Land Experience.

A suggested $10 donation ($20 for family) is requested and includes workshops, dance notations, bottled water and snacks.

The Clearlake Church of the Nazarene is located at 15917 Olympic Drive (at the intersection of Highway 53) and is a Christ-centered family church offering a variety of programs and ministries designed to help families thrive.

LAKEPORT, Calif. – New from the Lakeport Kid’s Choir iSing is an exciting Christmas musical that is both fun and joyous.

“Follow the Star” will be performed at 10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 19 at United Christian Parish.

All are welcome and there is no charge. A free will offering will be taken.

Join iSing as they journey with the three wise men, Melchior (played by Brady McGuire) Gaspar (Timmy Wichlaz) and Balthazar (Christopher Lasher), who are trying to find the newborn king before the maniacal King Herod (Gabriel Kimbell-Auth) does.

Along the way the wise men will also meet a few folks in Herod’s entourage (Ian Hodder, Emma Peak and Bobby Lasher) who will point them in the direction of Bethlehem.

And what would a Christmas musical be without Mary and Joseph (played by the brother and sister team of Aimee and Jarod Coel)?

“Follow the Star” is an amazing story of obedience, faith and worship.

Should your kindergarten through eighth grade student join the caravan, there are still five spots open in the church's Caravan Chorus, with three rehearsals remaining after Thanksgiving.

The iSing group rehearses each Thursday from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. at United Christian Parish in Lakeport.
