LAKEPORT – First Southern Baptist Church of Lakeport is welcoming a new pastor.
On July 1, Pastor Carlos Lara was called to shepherd the church.
A resident of Lake County since 1991, Lara has served his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in children’s ministry, bus ministry, as worship leader, choir director, vacation bible school director and treasurer. He is a gifted Bible teacher and is excited about sharing the gospel in this community and seeing God working through the church.
The church lost its previous beloved Pastor Carl Templeton in November of 2008. They are grateful and looking forward to serving along side Pastor Lara and his wife Mary Ann.
Please join Pastor Lara and the members of the First Southern Baptist Church of Lakeport for a tradition worship experience. They love to sing hymns and are not driven by programs, purpose or entertainment.
Sunday School meets at 9:45 a.m. for adults and children. The worship service follows at 11 a.m.
Their mid-week prayer and bible study meets from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. every Wednesday.
The church is located at 1144 Park Way, Lakeport.
