The invitation is open to all churches, all denominations, all beliefs, all nationalities, and all people who want to come together as God’s family and pray for the good of their neighbors and to pray for peace, love, and acceptance in our country.
The group of churches is extending the invitation to include churches in other cities of our county.
They would like to see this become a county-wide event with all churches participating and taking turns hosting this City Wide Prayer Night on the third Tuesday of the month.
The next City Wide Prayer Night is Tuesday, July 17, at Praises of Zion Baptist Church at 3890 Emile Ave. in Clearlake from 6 to 7 p.m.
The event features singing, music and prayers given from each church or individual that is positive and unites us in spirit.
Please join them for refreshments and fellowship immediately after the prayer program.
The events are scheduled month by month so there is time for your church to sign up to host a night of prayer.
For more information please contact Melissa Young from Assembly of God Church at 707-995-2342 or June Jackson from Praises of Zion Church at 707-995-1319.

We began with the beautiful Psalm 23:1-3, restoration, “You Restore my Soul,” followed by Psalm 23:4, comfort, “You Are with Me.”
And now we will follow with Psalm 23:5-6, protection – What does David mean by “God prepares a table for me in the presence of my enemies?” What, not whom, are the enemies in your life? “Goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life,” indicates God is with us in the here and now!
This is not a psalm for the dead; it is for us, the living. It is a place we can walk and talk side by side with the Lord. That place in our soul that can regain peace and strength as we navigate this life.
Join us as we discuss exactly how powerful God’s love, peace, strength, and victory are, and how that grace is available to each of us.
For that get-up-early place to worship, join our Potter Valley United Methodist Church, 10075 Main St., Potter Valley, at 9 a.m.
Join Clearlake Oaks UMC, 12487 The Plaza, at noon.
For an afternoon service join with us at Clearlake UMC, 14521 Pearl Avenue at 2 p.m.
We welcome all to come for a visit to one of our churches and begin with us our three-part series, “God, Are You There?”

We began with the beautiful Psalm 23:1-3 , “You Restore my Soul,” This Psalm of David is often referred to as just “The Lord is My Shepherd,” possibly the most quoted psalm in the Bible.
This Sunday we will focus on Psalm 23:4, “You Are with Me.” Note, it is not a question, but a pondering. The question is, “How can we let it happen?”

We begin with the beautiful Psalm 23:1-3, “You Restore my Soul.” This psalm of David is possibly the most quoted psalm in the Bible.
David, a man of many experiences, is always presented to us as a true worshipper of God, a man possessing the Holy Spirit (I Sam. 16-13).
This is not a psalm for the dead; it is for you, the living. It is a place you can walk and talk side by side with the Lord. That place in your soul that can regain peace and strength as you navigate this life.
