Community invited to United Methodist Church services April 15

CLEARLAKE OAKS, Calif. – For one reason or another, you may have been away from Sunday worship for some time, but spring is a wonderful time to reunite.

You’re invited you to return to one of the local Methodist churches and explore your spiritual needs.

On April 15 United Methodist Churches in Clearlake, Clearlake Oaks and Potter Valley will explore "Faith That Makes Us Strong in Acts 3:3-19 and John 3:1-7.”

There are beautiful words in both Acts and John as we move into spring renewal of our strength and faith. In John, we hear Jesus' explanation to Nicodemus of the meaning of being born of the spirit.

For in Christ, God offers us mercy and grace, no matter what the magnitude of our sin. It is important to ask ourselves, “How am I living into Peter’s invitation to repentance, confession and pardon?”

In Acts, we learn of the healing of Jesus through Peter and John at the Beautiful gate as they give, not alms to the lame man, but “In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.”

For that get-up-early place to worship, join the Potter Valley United Methodist Church, 10075 Main Street, Potter Valley, at 9 a.m.

Join Clearlake Oaks UMC, 12487 The Plaza, at noon, or be with Clearlake UMC, 14521 Pearl Avenue, at 2 p.m.

We pray that we see many visitors in our churches in the beautiful days of spring.

As Christians, we serve our communities in many ways and ask that you check the following to learn how we may be of help to you.
