Lucerne Elementary School District seeks new board member

LUCERNE, Calif. – Lucerne Elementary School District is seeking applicants to fill a vacancy on its governing board. 

The open seat on the three-member board is the result of the resignation of Cheyenne Higgins.

The district reported that it will fill the vacancy by making a provisional appointment.

Applications are now being accepted.

Qualified applicants will be 18 years of age or older, be residents of the Lucerne Elementary School District and registered to vote within the district.

Interested community members can pick up applications from the Lucerne Elementary School District office, 3351 Country Club Drive. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Applications also are available online here.

Completed applications must be returned to the district office no later than 4 p.m., Friday, March 6.

Candidates will be interviewed by the current governing board members at the March 11 school board meeting.
