Highland Springs Road closure begins March 16 for bridge removal and repairs

LAKEPORT, Calif. – A new bridge repair and replacement project is set to start next week.

Beginning Monday, March 16, Highland Springs Road will be closed to all through traffic between Highway 29 and Big Valley Road so crews can remove the existing Bailey bridge and complete critical bridge repairs, Lake County Public Works reported.

Public Works said the closure will remain in place 24 hours a day for about 30 days, with a tentative reopening the week of April 13. 

Residents within the closure area will still be able to access their properties. 

Lake County Public Works said it appreciates the community’s patience as this essential infrastructure work is completed.
