LAKEPORT, Calif. – The Lakeport City Council is set to discuss Opportunity Zones and a fund transfer for a utilities project.
The council will meet Tuesday, March 17, at 6 p.m. in the council chambers at Lakeport City Hall, 225 Park St.

On Tuesday, there will be a presentation on the Lakeport Fire Protection District Canine Ops and a proclamation designating March 22 to 29, 2026 as Government Finance Professionals Week.
Under council business, City Manager Kevin Ingram will ask the council to authorize Mayor Brandon Disney to sign the joint letter with the county of Lake and the city of Clearlake to the Governor’s Office advocating for the nomination of eligible Lake County census tracts for Opportunity Zones designation.
Utility Director Paul Harris will request approval of a resolution for a $350,000 fund transfer to fund the design of a domestic water main and associated fire suppression system for the South Lakeport waterline design along South Main Street and the Soda Bay Road corridor. He will ask for authorization for Ingram to negotiate and enter into a design professional services agreement with CONSOR Engineers, not to exceed a maximum amount of $350,000.
On the consent agenda — items considered noncontroversial and usually accepted as a slate on one vote — are ordinances; minutes of the March 3 meeting; approval of application 2026-013, with staff recommendations, for a homeownership fair; approval of application 2026-014, with staff recommendations, for the 2026 Autism Advocacy Spring Fair; adoption of the proposed resolution adopting a records retention schedule, and authorizing destruction of certain city records and rescinding Resolution No. 2986 (2025); and authorization for out-of-state travel for one utility staff member to attend the 2026 California Rural Water Association Expo in South Lake Tahoe.
The council also will hold a closed session for a performance evaluation of City Manager Kevin Ingram.
