How to resolve AdBlock issue? 
LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a hit-and-run crash on Wednesday night that led to a fatality.
The CHP reported the crash was dispatched at around 9 p.m. in the area of Highway 20 at Orchard Shores in Clearlake Oaks.
Sgt. Joel Skeen, who was at the scene, told Lake County News that a 60-year-old female pedestrian was crossing Highway 20, west of Orchard Shores, when a vehicle described as a sedan that was traveling westbound hit the woman.
The pedestrian died at the scene, Skeen said.
Skeen said the driver of the sedan subsequently fled the scene.
The vehicle involved in the crash is believed to be a 2009 to 2013 blue Ford Focus and is possibly in the Clearlake area, Skeen said.
The CHP reported that both lanes of traffic were temporarily closed following the fatal crash.
