District 3 MAC Alliance to hold first public meeting April 29

By Lake County News Reports | Apr 18, 2026

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – The three municipal advisory councils, or MACs, of District 3 will host their first joint public meeting on Wednesday, April 29.

The East Region Town Hall, Central Region Town Hall and Western Region Town Hall will hold the joint meeting at the Lucerne Alpine Senior Center, located at 3985 Country Club Drive.

Doors will open at 5 p.m. with light refreshments, and presentations will begin at 5:30 p.m.

The meeting will also be live-streamed on the Lake County PEG TV YouTube channel.

Over the past year, representatives from each town hall have collaborated on issues shared by communities along the Northshore/Highway 20 corridor.

This alliance aims to strengthen the collective voice of District 3 residents by engaging earlier in county decision-making, improving communication about projects that affect the region, and ensuring greater consideration of community priorities.

Council members for each town hall are appointed by the Board of Supervisors, and together the three District 3 MACs represent Lake County’s Northshore – from the Mendocino County line to the Colusa County border.

The one-hour meeting will be hosted by District 3 Supervisor E.J. Crandell and will begin with a brief overview of the town halls and the work of the District 3 MAC Alliance.

Short presentations will follow from local agencies and departments, including law enforcement, Code Enforcement, Clear Lake projects, the Northshore Fire Protection District, Caltrans, Public Works, Parks and Recreation.

After the presentations, attendees are invited to visit informational tables to learn more, ask questions and pick up materials related to each topic.

There will also be information on Lake County 2050, a project to update the Lake County General and Local Area Plans, which is currently underway and encourages resident participation.

More information will be available on the East Region Town Hall and Western Region Town Hall websites or email LakeERTHca@gmail.com to join the mailing list.
