Clearlake Police conduct enforcement sweep

CLEARLAKE – Clearlake Police reported Monday that a special enforcement sweep late last week resulted in nine arrests for various illegal activities.


The department, assisted by several allied agencies, conducted the sweep on Friday, targeting persons with outstanding warrants, parole and probation violators, traffic violators, known gang members and associates, city code violations, sex offender registrants and other illegal activities crossing the path of the participating officers, according to a report from Sgt. Brenda Crandall.


The agencies involved included the Lake County Sheriff's Office, Lake County Narcotic Task Force, Lakeport Police Department, Department of Fish and Game, Lake County Probation, California State Parole, Lake County Animal Control and Clearlake Code Enforcement.


Crandall, who supervised the operations, reports that nine persons were arrested for various violations. They were:


  • Richard Domanick Occhino, 25, of Clearlake, felony parole violation;

  • Herbert Franklin Williams, 68, of Clearlake, misdemeanor bench warrant, drunk and disorderly conduct;

  • Darren Daedan Dozier, 29, of Clearlake, felony parole violation;

  • Clifford James Lujan, 41, of Lower Lake, misdemeanor bench warrant;

  • George Newberry, 29, of Clearlake Park, possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, parole violation;

  • Nena Lee Palmer, 21, of Clearlake, possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a hypodermic needle;

  • Pamela Aileen Voyles, 49, of Clearlake, under the influence of a controlled substance;

  • Michael Gil Truscott, 28, of Clearlake, possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of ammunition by a convicted felon;

  • Reika Bernice Clements, 22, of Clearlake, possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
