Second annual 'Path to Citizenship Day' planned in Ukiah July 7

UKIAH, Calif. – All interested lawful permanent residents (green card holders) can receive free legal assistance with their U.S. citizenship applications at Legal Services of Northern California (LSNC).

The second annual Path to Citizenship Day is on Saturday, July 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the offices of Legal Services of Northern California, located at 421 N. Oak St., Ukiah, CA 95482.

LSNC welcomes all who are interested in learning about the naturalization process or applying for U.S. citizenship.

“This is the second year we are hosting Path to Citizenship Day to provide legal assistance for a long and sometimes intimidating process that can prevent lawful permanent residents from pursuing their dream of U.S. citizenship,” said Angélica Millán of LSNC. “Our goal is to create a safe space to ask questions, get answers, and take the next step in becoming a U.S. citizen.”

Appointments are strongly encouraged but are not necessary to attend. For any questions regarding what documents attendees may want to bring, call Millán at 707-513-1026.

Path to Citizenship Day is cosponsored by Assemblyman Wesley Chesbro, state Senator Noreen Evans, Congressman Mike Thompson, Mendo Lake Credit Union, Savings Bank of Mendocino County and North Coast Opportunities Inc.
