Quilt guild now inviting entries for quilt show

LAKEPORT, Calif. – The Ladies of the Lake Quilt Guild is now accepting entries to the 14th annual Falling Leaves Quilt Show.

The show will be held in Lewis Hall at the Lake County Fairgrounds in Lakeport on Saturday, Oct. 3, and Sunday, Oct. 4.

The hours on Saturday are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The deadline to submit entry forms is Aug. 8.

The LLQG is inviting entries now to give quilters time to finish quilts for the show. Entry forms, instructions and details are available from the LLQG Web site at http://www.llqg.org/entry-form--labels.html , or contact Sue Schedler at 408-483-1925 or This email address is being protected from spambots. Quilters may choose to have their quilts judged or to enter quilts without judging. Many quilters find it beneficial to have their quilts judged, learning much from an impartial evaluation. The judges will award ribbons in several areas.

The show will include 200 quilts, VIP award-winning quilts, the Country Store boutique, vendor mall, quilting demonstrations, a silent auction, themed gift baskets, a door prize and an opportunity quilt.

Judy Sisneros, the featured quilter, is a nationally known quilt teacher and best-selling author.

She will present her quilts and talk with attendees about the quilts on display.

For more information call show co-chairs Sue Schedler, 408-483-1925; Linda Morrison, 707-245-5217; or Donna James, 707-349-1295.

More information can be found at http://www.LLQG.org/quilt-show.html .

Suzanne Lee is a member of the Ladies of the Lake Quilt Guild and publicity co-chair for the quilt show.
