LOWER LAKE, Calif. – The Lake County Democratic Club’s August meeting will host a screening of a documentary on health care.

The group will meet beginning at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9, in the social hall of the United Methodist Church, 16255 Second St. in Lower Lake.

The club will screen “Now is the Time – Healthcare for Everybody,” a documentary that tells the story of the struggle and success of the movement towards health care equity.
The 35-minute film explores and explains universal (single-payer) health care.

Time will be allowed for a question and answer session.

All meetings are open to the public. Membership is open to registered Democrats.
